The
Basic Rules Of Darts (X01) The board shall be fastened so that the centre is 173cm high. The minimum throwing distance shall be 237 cm from the face of the board measured horizontally. The oche (toe line) shall be plainly marked and be at least 43 cm long. Any darts may be used. A throw is to consist of three darts except where a game is finished in less. Darts cannot be re-thrown and only darts counts of which the points are touching the surface of the board. A player may be told, if they ask, what number they have scored, or what number they require, by the score announcer, but not how to get it. If the number required for game is exceeded in the course of a throw, the throw ceases, and no account is taken of the score obtained during that throw. The inner bull (50) counts as the double of 25 (the outer bull). Rules for Individual Play The game is to score exactly 201, 301, 501 as previously
arranged. Generally each game is played with a straight start (no compulsory
double), but with a compulsory double to finish. Scoring is by the subtraction
method, so that the number required for game is always showed. |
